Anesthetics

Blue Short Grass - Used as a compress on a wound numbs the area making it easier for a physician to work on it.

Frobican - Anesthesia

Valerian - A shot of Valerian is a fast acting Anesthetics.

Bleeding

Argimony - Has a substance that is astringents with the ability to close wounds and stop bleeding when used as an external compress.

Black Pepper - A painful but extremely effective way of stopping bleeding in an emergency and quickly.

Cayenne Pepper - When made as a tea helps to stop internal bleeding, when applied as a paste, stops external bleeding

Blood Pressure

Hemp - works like dopamine to increase blood pressure.

Breathing Problems

Angelica - Acts as an expectorant for chest infections take as an infusion adding 1tbs of dried herbs to 2 goblets of boiling water (do not use with pregnant women)

Cayenne - Given as small does of compacted dried herbs helps with bronchial disorders 1-2 tablets with each meal.

Dried Sunflower Seeds - Crushed and either smoked in a pipe or placed in a burner for the patient to inhale, helps with a cold and clears the head.

Liptus - Helps with respiratory problems. Parts Used : Leaves and the oil distilled from them. Preparations & Dosage : An infusion may be made with 1-2 tsp of the leaves to a cup of boiling water. Let infuse for 10-15 minutes. The dose of tincture is 1ml. 3 times a day. External Use Put 5 drops of the oil in a hot bath or 6 drops in boiling water, put towel over head and inhale the vapors.

Burns

Aloe Vera - Natural gel it helps soothe and heal minor burns.

Contraception

Sip Root - A bitter root whose extract is the active ingredient in slave wine. It can also be chewed as an effective birth control method.

Slave Wine - A bitter drink given mainly to slaves to prevent pregnancy, though Free woman not wishing to be pregnant are known to use it. It was thought it had to be drunk once a month, we now know it need only be taken once. Though some Master still insist on once a month to remind a girl of what and who she is.

Constipation

Alfalfa - Has a laxative effect - take 15 - 20 drops 4 times a day.

Aloe Vera - 2tbs daily as a juice in the morning acts as a laxative.

Goldenseal - As a tincture of 20 drops daily this helps with constipation. (Goldenseal is a double edge sword it should not be given if the patient has as infection or wound in the bowel system as it tends to destroy good bacteria also. It should not be used for more than one moon cycle and not a all during pregnancy.)

Digestive Problems

Alfalfa - Acts as a Diuretic a few drops 5 - 10 in morning or evening tea to help keep with digestion.

Aloe Vera - 1tbs daily mixed in juice or tea helps reduce inflammation of the stomach.

Amaranth - Sip tea slow to help with the reduction of vomiting

Chamomile - Reduces inflammation of the stomach. Used as a tincture 15 - 20 drops a day or sipped as a tea.

Peppermint - As a tea take 1 cup twice a day to help reduce nausea and sickness.

Diarrhea

Amaranth - As a tea sipped this helps with the pain and discomfort of diarrhea.

Emetics

Brak-Bush - Made into a tea this acts as a purgative.

Goldenseal - Made into a tea this acts as a purgative cleaning the both the blood and bowels.

Fever

Arro - Preparation and dosage : Infusion: pour a cup of boiling water onto 1-2 teaspoons of the dried herb and leave to infuse 10-15 minutes .When feverish it should be drunk hourly. Tincture. take 2-4 mls of Tincture 3 times daily

Chamomile - Sipped as a tea will help to reduce fever.

White Willow - As a tincture of 20 drops will help to reduce fever.

Food Allergies

Agrimony - As a tincture 20 drops before eating will help.

Healing Salves

Trevian Healing Salve - The ointment is absorbed into the skin and in a few ehn there will be no trace of it nor of the cuts.

Agrimony - Made into a salve is an excellent antibiotic.

Honey - Applied on a wound helps promote healing. It is also the best natural barrier to help a wound heal and stay infection free. P

Peppermint Oil - Stop infections make oil to use as antiseptic like bactine.

Sage - Used as a compress sage provides a readily available antiseptic agent to promote the healing of wounds.

Itching and Rashes

Agrimony - As a compress used to treat things like Eczema

Bergament - Made into a salve will help with any itching and rashes.

Cayenne - Used as a cream it reduces skin irritations (Do not use on broken skin)

Goldenseal - Used as a salve or compress it aids in skin irritation.

Menstrual Problems

Angelica - Taken as a tincture 20 drops taken 2 - 3 times a day helps with menstrual cramps. (Do not take if pregnant)

Chamomile - Take the tea a hand before the menstrual cycle to aid with the relief of menstrual cramps. As an oil massaged onto the lower back during the menstrual cycle (Do not use the oil while pregnant except during labor as it can stimulated menstruation, used during labor, it helps ease the muscles)

Migraines / Headaches

Angelica - As a tea mixed with Chamomile it helps with the nausea and pain associated with Migraines (Do not take Angelica if pregnant)

Lavender - Drink twice daily as a tea if the patient is able to keep any down, if not use the oil in a burner in a darkened room.

Nausea

Angelica - Sip as a tea when feeling nausea (Do not use if pregnant)

Ginger - Sipped as a tea, or sucked on will help with nausea, this is excellent for expectant mothers.

Peppermint - Sip as a tea, or suck on candy and / or twig helps with nausea (Do not use if pregnant)

Numbing

Blue Short Grass - As a compress or made into a salve will numb and area.

Chamomile - The oil made into a salve will help the muscles relax and to briefly numb the oil. 

Kanda - A salve made with the crushed leaves of the Kanda plant, will numb an area.

Pain Relief

Kanda - This is a strong drug its properties are akin to opiates. The leaves are to be chewed for pain but should never be swallowed. It can be poisonous and fatal. (USE WITH CAUTION, the patient should be monitor and switched to more mild form of pain relief as they progress.) 

Valerian - 30 drops added to a drink or directly to an IV will reduce muscle tension and reduce pain it also aids in keeping a patient calm.

Willow - parts used bark, leaves and buds - the bark is chewed, tea is brewed from leaves, buds and the inner bark for pain relief.

Pregnancy

Breeding wine - A sweet beverage which counteracts the effects of slave wine, making a woman fertile, also called second wine - active ingredient is teslik.

Ginger - As a tea drink 1 or 2 cups a day to help reduce nausea and sickness. Can also be made into a candy to suck on.

Ramberry Leaves - As a tea can be given in the last two months in pregnancy to aid in labor. Can be sipped during labor. Do not take before the last two months.

Sage - Take as a tincture 20 drops per day it stimulates fertility -Helps reduce excessive milk in lactating women. (Avoid during Pregnancy).

Sleeping Problems

Bergamot - Used as an oil in a burner promotes restful sleep

Chamomile Tea - Is a natural way to help with calming the body to aid in sleeping. This is safe for women who are pregnant.

Valerian - Take 25 drops of tincture before bed.

Sprains and Swelling

Amaranth - When crushed and made into a compress it helps reduce swelling

Lavender - Used as a compress or slave helps alleviate sore and aching bones and muscles

Peppermint - Use drops of mixed oils on the sore muscles.

Valerian - 30 drops in water reduces muscle tension, pain and has a calming effect.

Willow - 20 drops a day after a meal willow acts as an anti-inflammatory agent.
